Who you are

As AS400 Console Operator, you are responsible to provide technical support with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters.

What will you do

·  Monitor As400 LPARS, iSeries hardware and software issue
·  Perform first level problem determination and critical issues to higher levels / service lines as per the blocking issue matrix
·  Drive issue resolutions through 24/7 Rotational shifts support
·  Take actions on batch Jobs as per requests / Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Minimum 2-4 years of experience in AS400 Console operations
·  Ability to monitor & perform operational problem determination on AS400 servers
·  Demonstrated ability to execute journal and online/ offline back-ups
·  Proven expertise to monitor and respond to system alerts and events on AS400
·  Working knowledge on Operational AS400 Commands, BRMS, IPL, iSeries Navigator, save and restore of objects
·  Demonstrable Knowledge on mirroring software like MIMIX and I Cluster
