Join us and be part of our university internship program for future technology leaders. The IBM AI Internship Program is a 12 weeks development program for top-performing and talented rising high school seniors. The program aims to develop, accelerate and inform your education and career paths through mentoring, training and hands-on experience with IBM experts.

You will work with AI engineers and scientists from IBM Vietnam and WW; and use Watson services, PowerAI system to implement selected AI projects. You'll present your work to upper management. You'll participate alongside the AI engineers and scientists as they build Watson AI services, PowerAI platform and solve customer problems. The university internship position is expected to start on June 1, 2019.
Required qualifications:
- 4th year or later into a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field
- Strong competence in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Scala, NodeJS, …
- Good understanding in machine learning algorithms and supporting data structures;
- Knowledge of Software design patterns
- Experience using open source machine learning frameworks
- Strong academic performance, with a minimum of a distinction grade point average
Preferred skills:
•Experience using open source Neural Network libraries such as DL4J; Tensorflow; Theano or Torch
•Experience in text mining or applying machine learning to text data.
- Experience using Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark and/or Hadoop
- Knowledge of HPC or Distributed Systems
- Experience using Unix/Linux systems- Contributions to open source projects (demonstrated through a GitHub profile)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

We are looking for rising high school seniors from all backgrounds who meet the following criteria:
·  Demonstrated history of achievement in academics and related extra-curricular activities.
·  Interest in machine learning concepts.
·  Experience programming in Python and Java or Node/JS. Comfortable with collaboration tools like Slack and Github.
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You can work well in a team environment and speak publicly.
·  Passionate about technology, learning, providing solutions to challenging problems.
