IBM is now hiring Application Development Specialists for our Rocket Center (Keyser) office, West Virginia (25 minutes south of Frostburg, MD). Relocation, US Citizenship, and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

The recently launched IBM Services Center in Rocket Center, WV has immediate opportunities for forward thinking Application Development Specialists with a passion for growth and innovation.

IBM Services Center: Rocket Center is currently growing its Application Development team. Join our team and utilize leading-edge technology to configure, develop, deliver and support applications for our clients in areas such as Mobile, Big Data, Cloud Computing or Smarter Commerce. The candidate will be able to gain valuable on the job training while building in-demand technical skills. Our clients are some of the world's leading companies and you will be part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs.

As an Application Development Specialist the candidate will be expected to take on challenging project work designing, building, testing and supporting technical solutions. Depending upon the project, the candidate could find yourself developing advanced skills in technologies such as Java, Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE), SAP, C#, and Oracle, among others.

The candidate will be self-motivated, success driven, and looking to make a difference in the world. They will posses skills in the disciplines of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Decision Sciences, Information Systems, Math and other related fields, particularly software development or application management and development.

The IBM Services Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Rocket Center, WV center including a variety of Federal Government clients. No remote opportunities exist. The candidate may be expected to travel up to 30% of the time. All candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday through Friday).

Candidate must have the ability to work in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain required Government Clearance as needed to support assignments.

Required
·  Bachelor's Degree
·  At least 1 year experience in programming languages, methodologies and Object Oriented programming (Eg. Java, Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE), C++ etc)
·  At least 1 year experience in development tools (eg. Integrated Development Environment (IDE's), debuggers, code repositories)
·  U.S. citizenship required
·  English: Fluent

Preferred
·  Master's Degree
·  At least 2 years experience in programming languages, methodologies and Object Oriented programming (Eg. Java, Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE), C++ etc)
·  At least 2 years experience in development tools (eg. Integrated Development Environment (IDE's), debuggers, code repositories)
·  Security clearance of Secret - Active
