We are currently recruiting Mainframe Application Developer – zOS experienced in handling Point Of sale (POS), Payment processing Services (PPS) and Automatic Teller machine (ATM) host Applications for a 12 month fixed term contract, based in Sydney . The role is required to meet the agreed Change Team and support team deliverables for the Group – Channel &Payments Systems – Host.

Role and responsibility -

Channel&Payments Systems – Host Team is responsible for supporting POS/ATM and PPS Applications.

As a Technical Team Lead your responsibilities include –

·  Provide production support services - Batch Monitoring, ABEND resolution and Technical Support. Should play a role of an Incident coordinator.
·  Should Have Experience in Financial Sector (FSS) and should have expertized knowledge handling all transactions/operations happening on POS, ATM etc from BASE24 Systems.
·  Handle PS Sev tickets making sure the process is followed and SLA's are met. Does RCA and responsible for providing permanent fixes for the recurring issues/Incidents.
·  Takes Accountability for successful production batch cycle executions. POC for any batch or Online abends/issues, Lead on-call support team.
·  Takes care of the offshore and onsite co-ordination. Involves and Schedules status/support and walkthrough calls.
·  Participates in the requirements gather meetings with various business partners/Owners.
·  Involves in Impact Analysis on a given change request and supports the dev team in handling them and also the TEMS team during the Testing in different regions.
·  Takes responsibility in doing perfect code reviews and providing respective sign off‘s for TSD/UTR's. Involves in creating implementation plans.
·  Helps the team defining their career paths. Motivate and help them making themselves capable to take their next levels
·  Work effectively, individually and with team members toward customer satisfaction and success
·  Assist in creating solutions for client and/or internal review
·  Participate in client meetings to communicate status or give demos
·  Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner
·  Abide by team coding standards, development processes and best practices
To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills –

·  Strong Techno-Functional experience in Banking Domain and applications - POS /ATM/PPS.
·  Strong hands on experience in PL/1, COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, IMS-DB/DC, EZTRIEVE, MQ Series and Python.
·  Good Experience in using the tools – SPUFI, QMF, ENDEVOR, CHANGEMAN, ABEND AID, PANVALET, FILEMANAGER, OPC Scheduler, XPEDITOR, IBM DEBUG Manager, SYNCSORT, FILEAID/DB2, TWS, REMEDY etc.
·  Strong Hands on Experience on UNIX Platform
·  Understanding of design patterns and complex architectures.
·  Experience with relational / hierarchical databases
·  Strong written and verbal communications
·  Nice to have exposure on Dev Ops /AWS etc.
·  Flexible to support any time and ability to learn quickly with eagerness to share knowledge.
Compensation package from $74 970 (full-time equivalent inclusive of superannuation) and will be determined based on successful candidates relevant skills and experience.
