We are currently recruiting for an Application Developer – GIS, for 24 months fixed term contract based in Perth, Western Australia.

Role and responsibility
The Role is responsible for the day-to-day management, support and proactive maintenance of GIS applications and technical environment to meet the critical business SLA's.

Responsibilities include:

·  Performing application support role in a 24*7 environment in compliance to IT Service Management principles, adhering to SLAs, and maintaining high customer satisfaction
·  Planning and co-ordinating proactive maintenance activities, i.e. monitoring application and environment health, identifying potential problem areas and recommend solutions
·  Participate in client meetings to share ideas, present solutions and assist in clarifying queries to gain customer acceptance.
·  Support full life cycle application development using GIS Systems, abiding to the team coding standards, development processes and best practices
·  Work effectively individually and with team members toward customer satisfaction and success
·  Design, develop, and configure software systems to meet client requirements either end-to-end from analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance (including testing), to delivery and maintenance of the software product or system or for a specific phase of the lifecycle.
Required experienced

To ensure success in this role you will possess the following technical and professional skills:
·  10 years' experience with a proven track record of consistent achievement in a senior developer and Consultant role primarily accountable for GIS Solutions, Design and planning
·  Minimum 8 years' experience in GIS using GE Core Spatial Technology, GE Small World Product Suite, SIAS, Water Office, FME and other spatial applications. You must have relevant GE certifications to be successful in this role.
·  Experience of Application development using Smallworld MAGIK, Data Modelling and Migration experience using GE toolsets
·  Experience in maintaining and managing oracle spatial databases and strong experience of PL/SQL
·  Understanding and experience of other GIS solution such Geospational applications such as GE MES(Asset Viewer), UBSense – MyWorld, and other cartographic tools such as AutoCad and Microstation.
·  Strong consulting skills, including analytical thinking, problem solving, and superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively engage with clients and others
