Deal Squad is a strategic multi-disciplinary team that partners with IBM, Global Business Service sectors to lead, guide, and coach strategic engagements throughout the sales cycle to win more deals. The Deal Squad's objectives are to work with the sectors to win more deal and improve the win / loss ratios. This includes conversion rates needed to achieve overall sector signings objectives.
The Bid Manager is responsible for the Bid Management functions in America's Deal Squad (ADS). Bid Manager develops project plan, engages the appropriate resources, provides continuous leadership to the pursuit team, drives development of the solution, proposal and deliverables to satisfy the client's business and technical requirements. The Bid Manager will provide hands-on management of the entire deal life cycle project development process. Works as trusted associate with the Deal Coach to develop win themes and execute the win strategy provided by the Deal Coach.
Job Responsibilities
· Lead project management efforts for the IBM pursuit team proposal response process
· Develops & manages a Bid Project Plan, provides B&P codes to appropriate resources, uses appropriate collaborative or business tools and templates, and coordinates IBM resources to produce deliverables according to customer expectations, within time critical schedules & deadlines, and schedules & facilitates meetings
· Track on-going assignments and ad-hoc action items, ensuring that nothing is left by the way side
· Possesses professional knowledge of Industry and Brand supported
· Understands organizational resources, priorities, needs and policies
· Applies professional knowledge of specific programs/solutions & works with SMEs & consultants to develop customized content
· Lead presentation brainstorming & development sessions, conduct rehearsals with client-facing colleagues for orals presentations
· Ensures hand-off of final proposal documents to ADS PMO and/or proposal writers to enable creation of re-usable content stored in content repository.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· 2+ years experience working as a contributor in a bid driven environment
· 3+ years experience in a role that required exemplary organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and provide timely and accurate deliverables. Uses tools to gain efficiencies and to rapidly develop solutions and proposal deliverables.
· 3+ years of work experience handling multiple initiatives/projects successfully managing and prioritize competing priorities
· 2+ years experience demonstrating an ability to learn quickly and show flexibility to adapt in a growing group, working both independently and with a “team-player” mentality.
· Willingness to give examples of times when you have possessed a high level of energy and a positive professional attitude under pressure.
· Travel Required- up to 4 days a week, home on weekends.
