Your Role and Responsibilities

AI-empowered business automation harnesses recent advances in AI to tackle common and complex operational challenges attending to real-world business processes. At IBM Research's Intelligent Automation, we aim to solve such challenges and make operations dramatically more efficient and sound, combining between AI and domain knowledge.

We are seeking an intern to join our Intelligent Automation research team. The work will focus on foundational theory development for Explainability with emphasis on Causal Process Discovery techniques to drive AI empowered automation. As an intern at the IBM Research Lab in Israel, the internship will aspire to publish the results of the work at top-tier peer reviewed conferences and journals, as well as engage in development of prototypes to demonstrate new related functionality.

Our summer internship program offer you an opportunity to join our research team for 3 months internship (working 5 days a week) in either Haifa or
Tel Aviv sites (according to each internship). During the internship, you will be working with our talented researcher on top projects, helping create the next generation of AI, security, quantum, cloud and much more.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
MSc or PhD student Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
