The IBM Australia Development Lab (ADL) plays a key role in developing and supporting IBM software products. ADL has skilled technical teams in locations around Australia engaged in every facet of software product development and support. This creative talent continues to be a driving force in bringing new products to market and its support teams deliver to a world-class standard. ADL works closely with other IBM research and development sites, services and support teams around the world, often managing multi-cultural, global teams with assisting clients world-wide. ADL also has links to many of the top Australian universities and sponsors various collaborative activities at all levels.

ADL has teams in IBM locations in the Gold Coast, Sydney, Canberra, Perth, and Melbourne. Each team works on a diverse range of software products from legacy operating systems to open source innovative software.

You will have the opportunity to interact with other teams and engineers engaged in innovative product development and technical support across ADL and worldwide. ADL is a multi-cultural environment and there will be opportunities for you to use your language skills. Opportunities for short periods of travel in Australia and overseas may arise from time to time

This opportunity is for a graduate software engineer at IBM ADL Gold Coast lab. This team is responsible for products in the IBM Security portfolio, primarily the Identity and Access Management space. We have projects ranging from low level system programming up through to cloud and mobile application development. The team covers the entire spectrum of the life cycle from early customer engagement, product development and testing, documentation, product support, and operations support.

Key Skills/Knowledge include:
·  Keen interest in Security and how to apply security to a every day life for business and consumers alike
·  A sound knowledge of development methodologies especially Agile and Scrum concepts
·  Good knowledge of software development across the whole life cycle
·  Solid knowledge of programing and scripting languages
·  Experience with a variety of operating systems
·  Knowledge of security concepts, virtualization concepts, and As-A-Service offerings. Skills/Knowledge Preferred
·  Problem Solving and Analysis
·  Strong written and oral communication skills
·  Strong attention to detail
·  Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently as required Area of study:
Software Engineering/Information Technology, Security, Computer Science and Engineering

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
·  Have Australian/NZ citizenship OR Australian/NZ Permanent Residency
·  Have at least a credit average from respective universities
·  A tertiary degree from a University, having completed studies in 2018 or to complete last subjects in 2019
·  Candidates must be from Australian Universities
·  Have no more than 2 years relevant work experience Additional Important Information:
