What does the ROLE entail?
·
§ Functioning as an expert within the allocated sales segment (MICE)
·
§ Define and implement sales action plans related to different costumer segmentation (Groups, Meetings & Events) to achieve hotel's financial target and increase market share;
·
§ Pre-qualify and prospect businesses opportunities from new accounts; while using a creative selling approach
·
§ Knowledgeable in Revenue & Yield Management and the overall hotel business mix ;
·
§ Make business decisions with a data-driven approach;
·
§ Understands how different segments impact each other, and has the ability to create tactics/give recommendations on different markets and segments;
·
§ Establish and maintain strong relationship with the established clientele and constantly explores into new business opportunities;
·
§ Ensure systematically and efficiently calls on allocated accounts within location and reports findings and opportunities to the Cluster Director of Sales;
·
§ Establish strong contacts to source for information in regard to market, competition and clientele updates;
·
§ Plan and make sales trips to the parties concerned which is our current and potential clientele to explore into new business opportunities;
·
§ Carefully plan sales calls into defined objectives;
·
§ Ensure professional sales calls as per Hyatt Sales Trainings;
·
§ Ensures a high level of exposure for hotel through direct sales solicitation via telephone, contracts and written communications;
·
§ Entertain and conduct hotel inspections to clients whenever required;
·
§ Meet and greet VIP guests upon arrival/departure;
·
§ Entertain and conduct hotel inspections to relevant representatives/delegates whenever required;
·
§ Liaise and work closely with the related operation departments ensuring guest's requests and expectations are being met;
·
§ Handle guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems. If no immediate solution can be found, ensure that the necessary follow-up is conducted in a timely manner;
·
§ Ensure that an efficient and accurate filing system, both manuals as well as electronic, is maintained at all times;
·
§ Maintain complete and supported records in all Hyatt systems of all sales activities, agreements, contracts and quotations for the hotel;
·
§ Establish an efficient trace file to ensure that all business booked is properly tracked;
·
§ Assist in welcoming & training newcomers on Hyatt Sales Procedures and best practices;
·
§ Contribute to the usage of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising, to reach target audiences effectively.

Your EXPERIENCE:
· At least 1 year experience working in Events and/or Sales, preferably in a Hotel;
· A degree in Hospitality / Tourism, ideally with a focus in Events, or equivalent experience;
· Great language and communication skills in English and ideally in Dutch;
· Unafraid of events sales related administrative tasks, projects and responsibilities;
· A fun, loving and energizing person;
· Committed to delivering a high level of customer service;
· Outstanding organizational and administration skills;
· Aware of proper telephone etiquette and are confident when on the phone;
· Exceptional grooming standards;
· Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).
