We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales professional to join our team as our Account Director - Asia at Australia's largest premium hotel.
Located adjacent to Darling Harbour, Hyatt Regency Sydney is a haven of relaxation for the business or leisure traveller. As Sydney's largest premium hotel, the hotel boasts 878 guestrooms, multiple dining experiences and event spaces. About the Role:
As our Account Director you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities with particular focus on our Asia market. This individual will work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence in the Asia region. You will report directly into our Director of Sales – MICE and will also be supported by the wider team, including our Director of Sales – Transient and Director of Business Development.
Main Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a tailored sales strategy to increase market share and revenue across the diverse and dynamic regions, with a specific focus in Asia.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional clients, distributors, and partners using a variety of communication channels relevant to the region.

Manage strong relationships with senior decision-makers from key leisure, PCO's, corporate accounts and travel agents, showing a strong understanding of the current market. As well as internal stakeholders, and other market and industry sources.

To measure and evaluate the effectiveness of acquisition activities and to re-evaluate programs on an ongoing basis so as to exceed the objectives as outlined in the Annual Business Plan.
To be Successful:
·
Strong commercial and negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex, high-value accounts.
·
Deep understanding of Asian markets, particularly Japan, Korea, Greater China, and Southeast Asia.
·
Minimum of 3 years' experience within a 5-star environment
·
Established relationships with Industry partners are highly advantageous.
·
Proficiency in CRM systems, CVENT, and Microsoft Office Suite
·
A self-starter who is highly driven and solutions-orientated
·
Experience working in large, diverse teams
·
Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
·

Ability to travel when required (domestic and international)
