The Role

Thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods, working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices. Good physical condition and strength.

The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

Some of the responsibilities include:

To carry out plumbing repair and maintenance throughout the building, to report for duty punctually, well groomed and wears name time at all times. To provide a courteous and professional service at all times. To maintain good working relationships with own colleagues, and all other departments. To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel’s policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.

To have a complete understanding of the Hotel’s rules and regulations and adhere to them. Responds quickly to guest complaints ensuring courteous, professional service at all times. To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel’s policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety, as well as to keep all Plant Rooms, work areas, and Engineering offices tidy and clean.

General responsibilities are to maintain a high standard of grooming and hygiene at all times, to maintain a good rapport and working relationship with colleagues and all other departments. Full support to Supervisors and team is essential, for any other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned within their skill competence.

Qualifications

· Qualification in Plumber/Mechanical Engineering

· Minimum 2 years work experience as plumber in a hotel or large building

· Good communication and inter-personal skills

· Some added experience in handling pools, sewage treatment plant and water bodies.
