Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly meticulous Hygiene Officer to join our five-star hotel, part of a prestigious global hospitality brand. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a proven track record in hotel hygiene and food safety management , who is passionate about upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across all hotel operations.
This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and monitoring hygiene and sanitation processes, protocols, and SOPs —particularly within culinary and food & beverage outlets. The successful candidate must have a deep and practical understanding of hygiene principles, regulatory requirements, HACCP standards, and international food safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement comprehensive hygiene and sanitation protocols across all F&B outlets, kitchens, and relevant operational areas.

Conduct regular internal audits , inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring full compliance with statutory and corporate hygiene requirements.
·
Lead and conduct food safety and hygiene training for all relevant colleagues.
·
Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Stewarding, Housekeeping, and Engineering teams to maintain and improve hygiene standards.
·
Serve as the primary point of contact for health inspections and liaise with local authorities as necessary.
·
Develop a hotel-wide Hygiene Monitoring Program , complete with data tracking, trend analysis, and continuous improvement plans.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
·
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a large luxury hotel operation .
·
Experience with Hyatt Hotels Corporation or other global luxury hospitality brands is a strong advantage .
·
Certified in Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) , HACCP , or equivalent hygiene qualifications.
·
Demonstrated ability to develop hygiene SOPs and implement them from the ground up , particularly in pre-opening or process redesign scenarios.
·
Deep knowledge of local public health regulations and international food safety standards .
·
Strong leadership and training skills with the ability to instill a culture of hygiene excellence among kitchen and service teams.
·
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with proficiency in creating reports, audits, and process guidelines.
·
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
