At Grand Hyatt Barcelona , one of the city's newest luxury landmarks, we are looking for a service‑driven, detail‑oriented Guest Services Officer – Front Office (Night Shift) to join our Rooms team .
This position is ideal for hospitality professionals with a strong customer service mindset , experience working with Opera / Opera Cloud , and an interest or background in night operations and night audit . Working during the night shift, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, smooth, and welcoming hotel experience while upholding the highest standards of luxury service.
About the Role
As a Guest Services Officer – Front Office (Night Shift) , you will be responsible for managing overnight Front Office operations , welcoming late arrivals, supporting in‑house guests, and preparing the hotel for the next operational day.
You will act as a key point of contact during the night, ensuring guest satisfaction, operational accuracy, and proper handover to the morning team. This role requires a high level of autonomy, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Front Desk Operations (Night Shift)
· Provide warm, professional, and efficient customer service to guests during overnight hours
· Handle late check‑ins and early check‑outs in line with Hyatt brand standards
· Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and incidents with care, efficiency, and ownership
· Ensure a calm, secure, and welcoming environment throughout the night
Night Audit & Systems
· Perform night audit procedures , ensuring accuracy of financial and operational reports
· Reconcile daily transactions and close the business day in Opera / Opera Cloud
· Prepare reports and documentation for Front Office and Management teams
· Identify and report discrepancies, following established procedures
Coordination & Communication
· Coordinate with Security, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure smooth overnight operations
· Handle room assignments, special requests, and last‑minute changes
· Ensure clear and complete handover communication to the morning Front Office team
Service Excellence & Brand Representation
· Represent the Grand Hyatt brand with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
· Apply service recovery principles when handling guest concerns during the night
· Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational standards at all times
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Qualifications
· Proficiency in English and Spanish , both spoken and written; additional languages are a plus
· Previous experience in Front Office operations or coordinating group stays in large‑capacity hotels
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, solution‑oriented attitude
· Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a collaborative team
· Familiarity with hotel systems such as PMS and Channel Managers ; experience with Opera is an advantage
