We are seeking an experienced Night Duty Manager to oversee the overnight operations at Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure smooth hotel operations, deliver exceptional guest service, and uphold Hyatt brand standards during the overnight shift.

About the Role

As Night Duty Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all internal and external guests whilst also assisting with the smooth and efficient running of the hotel's overnight operations through supporting all divisions. You will be required to work across both Front Office as well as Food and Beverage

The Night Manager will have a strong leadership presence in the Front Desk and Restaurant areas as well as back of house whilst providing an excellent and consistent level of service to our guests and colleagues at all times, whilst also, displaying a courteous, professional and efficient service that supports the outlets concept and Hyatt Place standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· 
Manage hotel overnight operations in the absence of the senior leadership team.

· 
Act as the main point of contact for guests and colleagues during overnight operations.

· 
Take responsibility during emergency situations, with thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and local legislation.

· 
Remain flexible and adaptable, assisting across hotel departments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Finance.

· 
Resolve guest complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and maintain service standards.

· 
Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel features, services, and hours of operation.

· 
Ensure Front of House areas are consistently clean, tidy, and well presented.

· 
Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to team members as required.

· 
Assist with guest and crew transportation arrangements.

What we are looking for:

· 
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within Front Office or Hotel Operations.

· 
Previous experience using OPERA PMS (essential).

· 
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under pressure.

· 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· 
Strong time management with the ability to balance multiple demands.

· 
Exceptional attention to detail.

· 
Adaptable and able to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

· 
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

· 
Relevant degree in Hospitality is an advantage

· 
Full Victorian Driver's License a must
