Are you passionate about cooking and ready to take the next step in your culinary career? Hyatt Regency Cape Town restaurant 126 Cape Cafe is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.
As a Commis Chef you will be working closely with our experienced chefs to prepare and cook high quality dishes while gaining valuable experience in a professional kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and learn from the best in the industry.
Key duties but not limited to;
· Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes to menu specifications
· Prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, and portioning as required.
· Ensure food items are stored properly and in compliance with hygiene and safety regulations
· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and workstations
· Support senior chefs in food preparation and plating.
· Follow instructions for food presentation and portion control.
· Ensure stock rotation and proper food storage.

· One year experience as a Commis chef
