Job description

Now go wherever you want" HYATT CENTRIC MURANO VENICE, the lifestyle hotel in the heart of the Venetian lagoon, is the starting point for our guests who want to slowly discover Venice and its islands, leaving behind more hectic and touristy things. Murano, the island of glass, will introduce you to the lifestyle of a true Venetian and allow you to (re)discover Venice and its islands through the eyes of its inhabitants. And… we are looking for a Bartender joining our team!
Main Duties:
• To be familiar with all food and beverage items on the outlet menu.
• To prepare and serve beverages according to the standard required.
• To set up, stock, clean and maintain the bar and beverage preparation area.
• To prepare the outlet for operation, including mise-en-place, setting and resetting tables, light cleaning and other assigned tasks.
• To take food and beverage orders from guests, up selling wherever possible.
• To follow standard recipes and minimise waste to help ensure that the outlet’s beverage cost is in line with budget.
• To be flexible wherever possible in meeting special requests from guests for specific beverage preparation methods and ingredients.
• To order beverage ingredients based on outlet par stocks and as prescribed by the Outlet Manager.
• To utilise the outlet point-of-sales system as prescribed.
• To ensure that all sales are properly recorded, following prescribed procedures for ordering, voiding or correcting items.
• To complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• To follow presentation guidelines as established by the Outlet Manager.
• To maintain the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
• To ensure that all company minimum brand standards are implemented, and that optional brand standards are implemented where appropriate.
• To work in a supportive and flexible manner with other employees and other departments.
• To treat all operating equipment and supplies carefully to minimise damage and reduce wastage.
• To assist in inventory-taking as required.
• To assist in resolving the discrepancy in beverage inventory.
Customer Service
• To ensure the minimum benchmark scores of the Consumer Audit and Hyatt Guest Satisfaction (Maritz) survey are achieved.
• Implement action plans as directed to constantly improve the results of the Consumer Audit and Hyatt Guest Satisfaction survey Year on Year.
• To deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional, friendly, courteous and professional guest service at all times.
• To serve food and beverages to guests, according to the established standards of performance and service sequence established for the outlet.
• To handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.

Desired profile
Qualifications :
• Fluent English and Italian are mandatory
• Align all day-to-day functioning of the department / division consistent with Hyatt’s Global Privacy Policy.
• Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.
• Supports the reinforcement of Hyatt's Values.
• To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
• To read the hotel’s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
• To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
• To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other departments/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs.
• To attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.
• Follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.
• To be well versed with the Hotel safety and security procedures and be vigilant about observing and reporting anything unusual.
