Job description
As the Assistant Reservations Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Revenue & Reservations Manager in leading the daily operations of the Reservations team. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless booking processes, optimizing inventory and rates, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy across all distribution channels. This role demands a proactive leader with a deep understanding of luxury hospitality, strong system knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
· Supervise and guide the Reservations team to ensure courteous, prompt, and accurate guest service
· Oversee the daily reservation process including data entry, availability management, and rate integrity
· Collaborate closely with Revenue, Sales, and Front Office teams to optimize room inventory and revenue opportunities
· Manage group reservations, VIP bookings, and special requests with a high level of attention and personalization
· Maintain up-to-date content and availability on all online travel agency (OTA) platforms
· Ensure efficient use and management of Opera PMS and Hyatt reservation systems
· Conduct regular training and coaching sessions for the team to uphold reservation standards and system proficiency
· Handle guest concerns and complex reservation issues with professionalism and empathy
· Analyze reservation reports and booking patterns to identify gaps and recommend improvements
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· Minimum 3–4 years of experience in Reservations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role
· Prior experience in a luxury resort or five-star hotel is essential; experience in the Maldives is a strong advantage
· Proficiency in Opera PMS and Hyatt Central Reservations Systems is preferred
· Hands-on experience with OTA extranets (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia, etc.)
· Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
· High attention to detail and analytical mindset
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a dynamic, guest-focused environment
· Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as required
