The Assistant Beverage Manager plays a key leadership role in driving the overall performance of the hotel's beverage operations in alignment with Alila and Hyatt brand standards. This position supports strategic planning and oversees daily operations, ensuring service excellence, financial discipline, and consistent product quality across all beverage outlets. The role is responsible for leading, training, and developing the beverage service team, fostering accountability, service culture, and operational efficiency. The Assistant Beverage Manager actively manages inventory, cost control, and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations, while supporting menu execution and revenue‑enhancement initiatives. Working closely with Food & Beverage leadership, the role contributes to commercial results, team engagement, and the delivery of refined, lifestyle‑driven beverage experiences that elevate overall guest satisfaction.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, or a related field
·  3–5 years of experience in beverage or food & beverage operations, preferably within hotels or upscale/lifestyle hospitality environments
·  Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role is required
·  Strong understanding of beverage operations, service standards, and outlet management
·  Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, train, and develop service teams
·  Experience in inventory management, cost control, and stock ordering
·  Familiar with Malaysia food safety, hygiene, and compliance requirements
·  Guest‑focused mindset with strong communication and problem‑solving skills
·  Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
·  Proficient in English; Bahasa Malaysia and additional languages are an advantage
