Global Functions (GFs) play a vital role in supporting the bank’s Global Businesses and offer a broad range of career opportunities in areas from legal, risk and finance to human resources, sustainability, marketing and communications. Their operational and functional teams around the world help HSBC’s Global Businesses to operate efficiently and effectively on a day-to-day basis. They also focus on controls and governance to reduce risk and protect the Group’s reputation.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Vice President, HR Generalist
· Develop and Enhance People Manager Capabilities to meet the market’s growing needs
· Lead initiatives to build, strengthen, and sustain the capabilities of people managers, equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to effectively lead and support their teams.
· Design (when appropriate) and implement ongoing training, coaching, and development programs tailored to evolving organizational needs and aligned with best practices.
· Regularly assess and refine these programs to ensure PMs are empowered to foster a high-performance culture, drive employee engagement, and contribute to organizational goals.
· Continuously Improve HR Services and Products: Identify and implement improvements to HR services, products, and supporting policies and procedures to enhance the overall employee experience. Leverage insights from case and knowledge management tools, snapshot, HR Roadshow etc… to proactively address workforce needs, streamline HR processes, and ensure that HR policies remain relevant, efficient, and effective. Foster a data-driven approach to ensure that HR solutions are aligned with organizational goals and responsive to employee feedback.
· Act as HR Generalist, through a range of channels e.g. HRDirect, Case management tools, face to face, virtual contact as necessary
· Support/guide/coach People Managers (PMs) in relation to complex matters across the spectrum of HR, driving the right outcomes and solutions for the caller/business and HR.
· Deliver country’s HR priorities as assigned by/agreed with HoHR to energize/enable the market strategy and business priorities

Certifications, Qualifications & Experience
· Native Vietnamese speaking with English proficiency
· Data and digital literacy
· Strong leadership capability
· Well-balanced on commercial and compliance mindset
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to maintain effective working relationships with teams, peers, senior management and business stakeholders
· Understanding of the risks associated with managing people in the Vietnam is preferred
· Understanding of the Vietnam Employment Law associated with managing disciplinary, capability, grievance and health matters is required
· Qualifications in Human Resources or relevant experience
