Role purpose
To review and sanction (or recommend to the next level) the credit proposals issued by the Business lines with respect to the different portfolios. Collaborate in the integration of a robust and profitable credit portfolio by negotiating positions between Account Executives and Credit Officers.
Main activities
· Evaluation and sanction (or recommendation) of credit proposals, ensuring an adequate risk/return balance within the parameters signed by HSBC
· The above is valid both for clients within the country and for companies within Latin America [verify approval package, analyze information contained in the credit study, review the profitability calculation, etc.], whether periodic reviews/new proposals/cancellations .
· Review that the proposals are presented in accordance with regulations and that they maintain high quality since in some cases it is necessary to escalate said approvals to the parent company as they are relevant exposures in amount and/or risk rating.
· Assign and supervise work among the Credit Officers [manager/analyst] under their charge [when applicable] under acceptable standards .
· Continuous search for dialogue with the Business seeking to maintain the quality standards of the quantitative and qualitative information necessary to be able to issue a risk opinion.
· Collaborate with the technical training of Credit Risk Officers (GCB5 and GCB6).
· Constant improvement in internal customer satisfaction.
· Coordinate efforts with the Business for adequate feedback to Account Executives on areas of opportunity and causes of reprocessing in case reviews.
· Attention to internal/external and regulatory audits.
· Compliance with regulatory and/or internal courses of different kinds in order to guarantee that the bank's assets generate returns with a good reputation [Compliance, prevention of money laundering, financial crime, financing of terrorism, Anti-corruption and bribery, risks non-financial].
· Maintain low levels of past due loans.
Requirements
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degrees: economic-administrative areas, specialized in financial and banking activities.
· Experience in analysis (qualitative and quantitative) of Credit for companies (Wholesale), as well as the reclassification of existing lines.
· Master's degree (highly desirable).
· English: Bilingual Advanced
· Financial analysis (financial ratios and cash flows).
· Analysis of the Porter model (competitive advantages).
