Key responsibilities:
· An ability to engage with clients and identify opportunities for supporting their funding requirements, either on an organic or inorganic basis
· The role holder is expected to work very closely with product partners such as IB - ECM, DCM, Private Credit, LAF, GM etc to ideate and deliver strategic financing solutions for clients.
· The candidate should have the ability to maneuver across financing products to structure and offer solutions tailormade for the clients. This may involve identification of suitable refinancing opportunities, potential acquisitions and transformative capex plans, and developing strategies to fund them in the most efficient manner.
· The role is expected to work alongside the Relationship Management team in early identification of opportunities and bring in the specialist knowledge to structure complex transactions.
· The role holder is expected to make strategic pitches for Senior Management meetings with client (CEO, HD CMB etc)
· The role holder must demonstrate an ability to engage clients on the strategic direction of their businesses, both personally and using senior HSBC stakeholders.
· Act as an effective strategic partner through regular meeting to understand emerging themes and needs and providing substantive input to the client planning and subsequent pitching processes.
Requirements
· Minimum of twelve years proven and progressive corporate/ investment banking experience or equivalent
· Strong knowledge of corporate finance landscape and analytical abilities to
· Background of having done a variety of corporate finance transactions including acquisition finance, ECM etc.
· Have a demonstrated track record of managing customer relationships and collaborating with product partners
· Deep expertise in the Indian markets, understanding of market trends, regulatory environment and market intelligence
· Strong organisational, analytical, negotiation, communication, teamwork and influencing skills
· Credit training and equivalent experience
· In-depth knowledge of regulations impacting the business and the lending and credit approval process
· Strong relationships in the financial sponsor and investment banking ecosystems
· Ability to work collaboratively across internal and external stake holders
· Need strong knowledge and network in the India funds market
· Have a demonstrated track record of managing customer relations
· Master’s degree in business, related field, or equivalent experience
Additional Information
Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
