We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

 

Business:  Regional CIO - ASP

 

Principal responsibilities

·  Participate in HASE IT Infrastructure DevOps Team: Collaborate with the Infrastructure DevOps team to provide support and advice on OS, middleware, database and cloud technologies across multiple projects and functional areas.
·  Performance Optimization: Assist in optimizing performance and implementing best practices for scalable middleware solutions/data models to support new business initiatives and the adoption of new technologies.
·  Infrastructure Solutions: Work with architects, developers, and project managers to deliver suitable infrastructure solutions that meet business needs and support growth.
·  Technology Implementation: Study, design, and implement new infrastructure technologies in accordance with standards and governance, and help develop the technical competence of teammates with new technologies.
·  Performance Tuning: Assist in performance tuning queries and stored procedures to keep databases and applications optimized.
·  Compliance and Security: Ensure systems comply with Group infrastructure and security policies and standards.
·  Risk Management: Identify potential issues related to delivery risks, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures, and escalate major project risks and issues to management in a timely manner.
·  Consultancy and Support: Provide professional consultancy and support in response to infrastructure queries from developers and business users.
·  Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure domain teams within the Group to influence practices and standards for infrastructure products.

Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
·  Experience with server administration (Windows server and/or Redhat Linux).
·  Demonstrable experience of scripting (shell / perl / python) with automation skills
·  Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Alicloud).
·  Proficiency in XML, JSON, SQL, and database design
·  Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
·  Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
·  Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
·  Proficiency in both English and Chinese; written and spoken
·  Self-motivated, able to work under pressure

·  Cantonese understanding & speaking would be bonus point.
