We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
· 1st – 2nd Line Production Support for the domain
· Incident Management, ensuring all root causes are followed up with engineering / vendor
· Deliver an Infrastructure and software provisioning for the domain
· Be part of capacity and performance management capability for the domain in conjunction with engineering
· Ensure SLA commitments are met, and escalate accordingly
· Ensure ISR policies and procedures are adhered to
· Work with Engineering and operations to ensure our environment is monitored appropriately and healthy.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
· Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of VMware technologies & products, scripting, automation. (Vmware 6.x, powercli, powershell)
· Deep technical understanding of IaaS, PaaS, software defined networking and Virtualisation
· Existing proven technical skills covering Vcenter, Vrops and VRa/Vro skills highly desirable
· Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. It infrastructure support
· Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Cloud Services and Virtualisation
· Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Worked in a similar role before in a global organisation
· Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Virtualisation technologies, automation, Storage, networks
· Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Global service desk
· Availability to work the shift pattern required for this role, i.e. Availability to be on a call out Rota is needed for this role
· Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. Ad Hoc as needed globally
· Willingness to undertake the training/study required in this role, i.e. Willingness to undertake training and study as needed for new products and services
· Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Virtualisation and cloud in a similar function is desirable but not essential
· Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Global Support / Virtualisation and cloud is desirable but not essential
· Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Global Support is desirable but not essential
· Previous experience of delivering an excellent customer service
· An open, flexible and supportive approach to change and innovation
· Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
· Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
