We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of   Senior Software Engineer.

Business:  Wealth & Personal Banking IT

Principal responsibilities

• Defining, building and testing technical solutions in an agile environment primary using Java, AWS & Javascript (React.js) hosted on public cloud 
• Writing infrastructure terraform/cloud formation and CI/CD pipelines in groovy
• Writing unit tests in spock, e2e tests in cucumber, contract-based tests in PACT
• Defining architecture and solutions including R&D on cloud and 3rd party vendors’ services

Requirements

• Solid understanding of AWS cloud solution and backend Databases. e.g., on-perm to AWS migration experience is a plus. 
• Good understanding of Databases such as SQL, DynamoDB, Redis
• Minimum 3-5 years of work experience specifically in frontend / backend development.
• Experience using containerization and software defined infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes
• Working experience on CI/CD configuration and implementation. Experience on CI/CD development is a plus.
• Experience on engineering/project tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, SonarQube.
• Familiar with Test automation tools JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber.
• Experience on DevOps processes and Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban.
• Effective communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Strong experience in infrastructure deployment automation using tools like Terraform
• Exposure to the software development lifecycle and agile software practices, from specification, development, Quality Assurance, release
