In this role, you will report to Head of Conduct, Culture and Customer Fairness, within the Wealth & Personal Banking (‘WPB’). The role will see you drive a positive Risk Culture across the Business by using management information, data and technology to provide oversight of current and emerging Conduct and Culture Risks. The role is pivotal in leading the WPB Risk Culture Program in conjunction with entity teams, including engagement with subject matter experts and Risk Stewards to ensure compliant outcomes.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Maintain up to date knowledge of conduct risk requirements, industry best practice, and developments
· Develop and maintain risk reports and papers on Conduct and Culture for senior executives including actionable information to create a strong risk culture
· Review compliance against the Group Conduct Risk Framework and Principles
· Writing and presenting Conduct and Culture Risk assurance reports, including findings and recommendations from themed and targeted reviews
· Provide support in driving the success of WPB Risk Culture initiatives more broadly, aligned with data and analytics uplift activities
· Support applicable non-financial risk activities including risk assessment, root cause analysis, identification of control gaps, issues and incident management
· Liase with Global and Regional Teams to drive local initiatives/ working groups around Risk Culture and Conduct
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
· Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business-related field
· Proven experience working in Risk Culture and/or knowledge, and associated methodologies to be able to support and influence at a senior level
· A very strong change delivery track record in large global organizations. Demonstrated record of delivering large programmes of work
· Have excellent communication skills to be able to build relationships with key internal & external stakeholders and be able to sell a strategy and vision
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and organizational skills
· Prioritisation and time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Risk Management experience in financial services is desirable
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
