We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

·  Play a key role in overseeing the submission of HKMA banking returns and external banking disclosures for Hong Kong and Asia Pacific in accordance with the relevant requirements within the required deadlines
·  Ensure the implementation of enhanced controls from Integrity of Regulatory Reporting programme in the regulatory reporting process, and the sustainability of those controls
·  Represent the team to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, senior executives, risks stewards, internal and external auditors
·  Respond to ad-hoc regulatory reporting requests from stakeholders on a timely basis and in a professional manner
·  Address queries and information requests from stakeholders in a professional way.  Work closely with different internal and external stakeholders, including Risk, IT, Business, internal and external auditors and regulators
·  Develop and maintain good working relationship and dialogue with regulators as appropriate with regard to regulatory reporting and control matters
·  Drive the team in various control enhancement initiatives over regulatory reporting, including Integrity of Regulatory Reporting
·  Collaborate with external auditors in respect of the annual assurance review on Sections 63(3) and 63(3A) of the Hong Kong Banking Ordinance
·  Stay abreast with the changes of regulatory requirements, and review and comment on the new regulatory requirements to assess the impact from a reporting perspective
·  Ensure consistency across different entities within region in respect of the reporting basis; and
·  Drive control and efficiency enhancement through automation and the use of technology

Requirements

·  University degree and professionally qualified accountant with post-qualified experience including experience in financial or regulatory reporting
·  Knowledge of HKMA reporting requirements is preferred
·  Strong control mindset with experiences in enhancing reporting controls
·  Demonstrate change management skills, particularly those involving control enhancements, new reporting requirement implementation, process streamlining and automation initiatives
·  Strong technical skills including a good knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements in the context of both Hong Kong and International
·  Proven experience in senior stakeholder management, both internal and external; and
·  Creative and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to analyze business transactions and identify key risk and mitigating controls, combined with a pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to work under pressure
