We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Strategy and Growth Initiatives.  

Principal Responsibilities

·  Support the of the Director, Strategy and Growth Initiatives WPB South & Southeast Asia to formulate the strategic vision and priorities for WPB South & Southeast Asia, to conduct regular Market reviews, and to drive the formulation and execution of strategic projects for the Region, both regionally or supporting local markets
·  Develop critical analysis to facilitate management decision in the Region or Markets
·  Collaborate with stakeholders in the Region or Markets to drive the implementation of special projects including immediate business problem fixes
·  In collaboration with the Governance and Business Management teams within the South and Southeast Asia Chief of Staff construct, drive, manage and oversee the strategy implementation in WPB South & Southeast Asia markets along with WPB Market teams ensuring that the strategic objectives are met
·  Support group strategy for M&A deals, including the coordination and administrative processes where needed e.g. AdCo or GSM for M&A projects
·  Fulfil ad-hoc individual strategic analysis/requests, as a contribution to larger projects
·  Prepare or coordinate the preparation of strategy related content for HBAP Forums, Investors, Board meetings, and other senior management meetings, often in coordination with other internal teams
·  Develop the ESG strategy for WPB in South Asia, in partnership with the Sustainability function and with Group WPB
·  Prepare regular competitor benchmarking across the Region, including for several key Markets, Segments and Products, to inform management decision-making
·  Drive the collaboration agenda within WPB as well as with other LOB’s, across the Region and in coordination with the Markets and the Group
·  Facilitate best practices and collaboration across Proposition (EBS), Acquisition (EBS) and Product and Pricing (MSS)
·  Set up and manage relevant governance to monitor progress and take corrective actions when needed to meet agreed plans
·  Support the deployment of a regional cross-border strategy across origination, activation and customer life cycle management, in close partnership with the Markets and the Group teams; facilitate regional engagement and participate in projects where necessary
·  Support the deployment of customer growth strategy and distribution optimization across the Markets. Facilitate regional engagement and participate in projects where necessary
·  In close partnership with the Markets and the Group Partnerships team, coordinate partnerships strategy and maintain an updated vision of the market landscape, competitive pressure, and partnership opportunities

Requirements

·  Experience in strategy formulation, execution roadmap design and execution tracking
·  Market experience in relevant business lines i.e. consumer banking, wealth, private banking is preferred
·  A strong sense of team spirit and collaboration
·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·  Well developed project management skills. Proven track record in working in multi-function projects
·  Experience in stakeholder management at senior level across the HSBC Group or a comparable organization
·  Significant interpersonal skills and ability to navigate and build relationships across different sets of stakeholders
·  Culturally sensitive. Experience with multi-geography teams
·  Result oriented. Robust capability of working under pressure and multi-tasking
·  Digital experience and capabilities will be valued
