We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Business Continuity and Incident Management.
Principal Responsibilities
· Business Continuity and Incident Management (BCIM) controls are designed to reduce the impact and severity of any disruption associated with the loss or unavailability of people, systems, premises and third parties or any other incident where there is customer, regulatory, reputational and/or financial impact
· The role of BCIM is to ensure these controls are effective through maintenance of the Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and Incident Management Programs, continuous monitoring of the related controls and support the effective response to incidents when they occur. The BCIM team acts as subject matter experts in advising stakeholders, across the business and functions, through the planning lifecycle and exercising in addition to performing quality assurance reviews
· As Senior Manager, Business Continuity and Incident Management (BCIM), the role-holder supports the Singapore BCIM Program for a range of activities across the respective disciplines. The job-holder must have expertise and experience across this portfolio
· Working with the wider global and regional BCIM teams, and the Singapore COO and Singapore Head of Corporate Services, the job holder ensures risk controls are managed to agreed standards, supports the departments and nominated individuals accountable for delivering BCM within their businesses/functions and supports engagement with relevant regulators and other relevant agencies as required. The role holder will collaborate and foster exchange with other HSBC entities (e.g. HASE / GSC / HTC etc.) in Singapore as necessary and conducive to the overall management of BCIM
· Provide expert assistance and support to local Businesses and Functions (Risk Owners) as they fulfil their analysis, planning and exercise obligations
· Act as a delegated control owner to ensure the mandated Major Incident Group (MIG) controls are in place and so enable an effective country MIG capability (including invocation testing, and the preparation and facilitation MIG member training and exercises)
· Support the Important Business Service Owners (BSOs) by providing subject matter expertise and training on Business Continuity aspects within the Operational Resilience Program and ongoing support throughout the annual lifecycles
Requirements
· Experience in risk or control management
· Subject matter expert in Business Continuity and Incident Management Program
· Experience in supporting the response to major incidents and delivering business continuity training
· Knowledge of local regulatory requirements related to Business Continuity and Incident Management
· Professional certification in Business Continuity a significant advantage
· Ability to translate global, regional and local priorities to direct local activities
· Ability to make decisions including when under pressure and to tight deadlines
· Experience of working in highly regulated and complex international organisation
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to balance multiple competing demands to find the best solutions
· Experience in stakeholder management and senior management engagement
· Innovative thinking
