We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist .

 

Business: GPBW and AMG Tech

 

Principal responsibilities

• Build AI solutions that remove the human element of production management
• Build Standardized Pipeline patterns for W&PS in line the HSBC CTO tech communities
• Drive adoption of standard tooling and practice
• Form part of the wider banks’ community of SREs to share technology, run trials on new tools and to share success with wider teams
• Automate away toil on incident detection, response and remediation though innovate AIOps solutions
• Protect engineers through solid ‘fail fast’ controls in our CI
• Track and remediate ‘toil’ that distracts engineers from focusing on shipping code
• Ensure high quality coding practices though the management of a single Github Organisation though which engineering controls are implemented
• Provide specialist technical knowledge and experience, championing DevOps and Agile practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Reliability or DevOps Tooling Engineer
• Proficient in Java – coding exam will be part of tne interview process
• Experienced DevSecOps controls (preferably) in a major global banking environment
• Previous exposure to Application Performance Monitoring Tools (e.g. AppDynamics, Geneos, Datadog)
• Experience developing enterprise technology on Cloud (e.g. GCP, AWS) with a key focus on Kubernetes
