We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate/Associate - GLOBAL RESEARCH - CHINA.

Principal responsibilities

·  Work closely with onshore analyst based out of Hong Kong.
·  Create, maintain and update models on a regular basis with guidance from onshore counterparts.
·  Conduct fundamental and financial analysis on industry and individual companies.
·  Make meaningful contributions to research reports with guidance from onshore counterparts.
·  Maintain and update various databases.
·  Track and analyse regulatory changes and their impact on our coverage.
·  Keeps the global team appraised of new developments by monitoring news and events.
·  Work on various client requests independently and in a timely and accurate manner.
·  Work on global products, when required.
·  Respond quickly, efficiently and accurately to ad-hoc requests.     

Requirements

Skill Set

·  Ability to read and write Mandarin.
·  Competitive proficiency in written and spoken English, fluency in Japanese.
·  Knowledge and understanding of various valuation methodologies and metrics as well as financial modelling skills would be expected.
·  Good written and oral/presentation skills.
·  Proficient in written and spoken English and Mandarin/Cantonese.

Qualifications

·  Post Graduate Finance / MBA or equivalent from a reputed university.
·  Candidates who are CPA/CFA Charter holders or pursuing CPA/CFA will be preferred.

Experience

·  Minimum 1-2 years in a related field within Financial Services.
·  Understanding of financial markets and various asset classes is a must.     

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
