Job purpose:

GTS (Global Trade Solutions) is a core product that is offered to WSB customers.

 

The role is responsible for structuring complex deals across the whole range of GTS (Global Trade Solutions). Key responsibilities include providing technical expertise to Front-Line Relationship Managers, assisting in the structuring of bespoke open account solutions, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. The role holder will lead a team of Sales/ Client Management across the country and aim to deliver a consistent operating model across our customer base. 

 

Key responsibilities:

·       As the Team Head Sales, the job holder has to understand the needs of the customer and be able to provide a thought through solution that meets their need. Solutions provided must be compliant with legal restrictions, banking practices, regulatory considerations and the Bank's own evolving product/service capabilities.  

·       With the support of Country Head, the job holder proactively contributes to the revenue and NPBT increase for GTS, and operates with authority and autonomy under Group GTS FIM in initiating and executing strategies to drive CG-based growth in Thailand.

·       The job also involves engagement with other stakeholders such as Relationship managers, Regulatory compliance, legal, finance etc. in ensuring that the GTS transactions are executed under the appropriate framework (legal, regulatory, financial crime risk etc).

·       Furthermore, increased awareness of Financial Crime Risk is paramount to this role.

·       The job holder needs to have a complete awareness of the portfolio and ensure that there is adequate understanding of the Sanctions/Anti-money laundering (overall FCC) risks associated with the customer base.

·       Last but not the least, the position holder will be responsible for conducting outreach events to engage customers and ensure that the products/services offered by the Bank get the required visibility among our current and prospective customer base.

Requirements

·       Leadership capabilities

·       Extensive knowledge of global trade finance, services, products and techniques.

·       Extensive knowledge of the market & market trends, competitive environment and regulatory environment.

·       Detailed knowledge of GTS back and front office area

·       Extensive understanding of risks associated with Financial Crime Compliance (Sanctions, AML etc).

·       Detailed knowledge if Credit & Risk including techniques to mitigate risk

·       Sales & Client Management experience at a senior level including dealing with senior executives plus a proven sales record. 

·       Ability to interact with business customers at all levels

·       Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of  products and services

·       Strong credit assessment skills, particularly with regard to more complex and structured facilities with an international dimension

·       Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions.

·       Ability to understand customers' business and the fundamentals of running a business

·       Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues

·       Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

·       Excellent time management, planning and organization skills

·       Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations
