· Lead, coach and day to day oversight for team of relationship managers and foster a team environment within the Global Private Bank
· Coordination with PBSG Desk Head to manage Sales & Supervisory responsibilities.
· Manage and develop client portfolios, establish new client relationships and ensure appropriate administrative support
· Partner with relationship managers to cultivate and deepen relationships with top clients and high potential prospects
· Identify event driven opportunities on an opportunistic basis, bringing in sector or country expertise as appropriate, working closely and proactively with other teams
· Supervise the activities of the team to ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business
· Provide full-service banking and all transactions to high-net-worth individual clients through the marketing of all appropriate company services
· Co-operate with platform manager to clear pending items, improve quality and resolve problems
· Increase AUM of portfolio and inflows of net new money (NNM), achieve revenue growth by leveraging brand, channels and Relationship Manager (RM) network
· Maintain regular client contact, ensure they are aware of risk levels and that client objectives are met through an appropriate selection of products
· Research account and transaction records to resolve basic discrepancies, answer questions, or provide documentation on client activities
· Provide coaching and guidance to other RM’s and create opportunities to develop their knowledge and experience level
· Provide assistance to fellow RMs and lead by example by exhibiting behavior consistent with HSBC values
· Works closely with other departments to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
· Responsible for the team’s and own set of Financial (NNM, Revenue, Annuity, New Relationships, Lending, Profitability metrics, etc.) and Non-Financial KPIs including conduct, ethics and compliance.
· Provide senior coverage and be the Primary Relationship Manager for own portfolio of client including key onshore clients.
Requirements
· Extensive experience in managing a team of relationship managers, preferably in the Private Banking or Commercial Banking domains
· Strong relationship management experience in the banking sector
· Proven track record in asset gathering, asset growth and revenue generation
· Excellent understanding of financial markets and products
· Entrepreneurship spirit, self-starter, independent with good communication and leadership skills
· Ability to self-manage competing demands in a dynamic environment
· Team player and high achiever with a positive attitude
· Solid understanding of risk management requirements in the banking industry
· Well-developed communication skills which enable direct client contact and problem solving
· Strong customer service focus
