The roleholder is expected to support the CIB finance organization regionally and project manage the broader finance team to ensure timely completion of local and Group deliverables and execution of CIB strategic priorities.  

The role’s principal stakeholders include the US CEO for Banking Coverage & Lending, Global CIB CFO, Americas CFO, CIB Strategy, Americas Treasury, and the head of US FP&A.

As our Head of Finance - US Banking Coverage and Lending you will:

· 
Lead the US Banking Coverage & Lending Business Finance function aligned to the Coreporate and Institutional Bank organization

· 
ProvidE insight which is grounded in critical analyses of the business performance and advising the Banking and Coverage management team on the external environment and competitive landscape 

· 
Represent Banking Coverage & Lending in various forums, which include but not limited to regional TALCOs, Regional Disclosure Committees and various other senior management forums

· 
Be a  Key representative of CIB Finance in regional regulatory engagement which include the OCC, FRB, NFA, and others

· 
Sponsor and challenger roles within the CCAR stress testing framework representing CIB Finance and Business

· 
Sponsor change and transformation initiatives, such as digitalization of the finance function 

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $240,000.00 and $350,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

Experienced in driving forward and implementing significant change successfully in processes and ways of working

· 
Strong influencing skills at a senior level of the organization to enable change in a collaborative manner bringing teams on the journey of change

· 
Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill key messages and highlight areas of focus with appropriate outcomes to senior business and finance stakeholders

· 
Innovative mindset, appetite to explore and use new technologies to add value and deliver efficiency

· 
Lead from the front by courageously setting and executing stretching goals for the sub-function and being a role model in driving and executing change and new ways of working – including driving the digital agenda

· 
Commercial, forward thinking strategic capability with strong analytical skills and an investigative mindset

· 
Understand and translate Group Strategy into financial measurements and plot a beneficial course for HSBC 

· 
Sound understanding of Financial Markets, Banking and Treasury related areas, strong numeracy and understanding of the Financial Services industry – experience in CIB business an advantage 

· 
Well-developed leadership skills, with experience of team management across a diverse team and demonstrating ability to use initiative and effect change through people in a large matrix organization 

· 
Significant experience working within financial services industry with significant exposure to senior Finance and non-finance staff
