Relationship Officer - Location: Geneva or Zurich

The role's main responsibilities include acting as primary servicing point of contact for high net worth or ultra high net worth individual clients externally and stakeholders internally and provide services and execute tasks to ensure the highest levels of customer and Senior RM satisfaction in line with regulatory requirements and bank policy. This role supports one or more Relationship Managers to deepen high net worth or ultra high net worth individual client relationships and improve income generation through focused business development activities and services.

What you will do:
· The role holder will have client-facing responsibilities for accommodation accounts and for other types of accounts he will be assisting the RMs in such responsibilities.
· Maintain the highest standard of excellence in client service by attending to ultra and high net worth client enquiries and requests.
· Understand well and provide comprehensive banking and transactions services.
· As Internal Account Officer, ensure all CDM issues are dealt with and closed in a timely fashion with Green KRIs across his/her book.
· Ensures client account opening documents are complete and accurate and requirements are met and ensure that any data input is dealt with in a timely manner and in the correct and consistent format.
· Where required assist in the credit application process by ensuring that all credit applications meet deadlines.
· Support the achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment.
· Have regular contact and meetings with clients.
· Fully understands clients’ objectives and needs and ensure these objectives and needs are met.
· Ensure clients are aware of their level of risk in comparison to their risk tolerance and risk appetite
· Ensure that all high net worth client-service related activities are fully in compliance with the processes and procedures.
· Support in the preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services.
· Provide general support in servicing client relationships and enhancing income generation.
· Prepare briefing notes in advance of key client meetings and assist by taking meetings notes and recording them in the systems.
· Complete review and submission of credit risk returns including limit excess/exception, security/documentation outstanding, monthly credit control reports etc.
· Ensure all transactions executed are understood, well explained and documented in the systems and customer files.
· Up-date KYC information, either received directly or through the RM, and ensure any FCC related concerned are escalated as per regulatory and internal requirements.
· Ensure full understanding of wealth, funds and transactions of the customers, with KYT recording to bank standard along with validation of certain payments subject to delegation of authority.
· Ensure the bank always delivers fair outcomes for his/her customers and ensure own conduct meets all requirements and expectations.
· Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the job holder is involved.
· Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Requirements
· Preferably a University graduate with professional certificates such as CFA, CPA, etc.
· Proven experience in private banking in the roles of a Client Service assistant investment counsellor/advisor.
· Solid understanding of financial products, markets and lending and a good understanding of sophisticated products such as derivatives, structured products and futures.
· Excellent social and communication skills with customers and colleagues.
· Fluent in English and other languages are a plus.
· Good understanding of how a private bank functions as far as transaction processing, customer documentation, cross border rules, financial crime compliance and account opening.
· Team player and spirit is a must.
· Computer literate with strong knowledge of programs such as word, excel and power point, and ideally Avaloq.
