The primary function of the position is to support the Corporate VP in the structuring and execution from pitch to close of financial sponsors backed transactions, including complex deals such as leveraged buy outs and venture debt; and in the development and growth of a specific portfolio of key large corporate clients comprised of over 15 Master groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the client portfolio, establishing and strengthening client relationships, promoting the cross-selling of products and services, and coordinating the strategy, origination, structuring, implementation and execution of all the group’s offerings.
● Manage, along with a Sr Banker, a portfolio of large corporates and institutional clients (Manufacturing, Financial Institutions, Retail, Healthcare, Mining, QSRs, PE & VC funds, Airlines, etc.)
● Structure complex bilateral and syndicated loans for M&As, recaps, LBOs, Bridges to Capital Markets, and other strategic financings; and managed client transactions from pitch to close.
● Coach and mentor credit analysts.
● Lead product partner teams to identify cross-sell opportunities and coordinated pitches. Liaise with credit risk for approvals.
Requirements
• Relationship management: Ability to lead and influence cross-functional relationships with both internal product teams and customers. Customer service oriented.
Strong experience in the private equity or venture capital industry.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience managing a complex business portfolio in multiple locations, business development and sales leadership experience. Strong analysis and credit structuring skills are essential.
• Financial crime mitigation
• Robust understanding of all banking product offerings and client planning methodology.
• Wide personal connections within the group and outside the group (chambers of commerce and other associations).
• Knowledge of Trade, cash management, GB&M, RBWM, and GPB products and capabilities
• High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust.
• Flexibility, Adaptability.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, actuary sciences/mathematics or engineering.
• Fluent in Spanish and English
