We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Monitoring- BA

Principal responsibilities

·  As part of the IRR Central team, this role has responsibility for the production and analysis of key metrics which measure the accuracy and sustainability of the regulatory reporting processes. The role holder will be directly responsible for overseeing the programme reporting processes that support production of key management information:
·  Identify/ explore opportunities within the process to reduce Turn Around Time & Improve quality through development of Automation, EUCs, Tools, Qlik sense and Automate tasks that are tedious, repetitive, uses voluminous data, to reduce human involvement to achieve 100% accuracy
·  Build robust, flexible, scalable automation solutions that can adapt to changes while ensuring effective controls like validation, change management, source code, version, IS requirements etc.
·  Maintain and manage EUCs and Tools built by us, handle change requests, incidents, user support and audit trail of documentations
·  Strong communication skills to translate technical business requirements to Stakeholders in a simple and understandable manner
·  Be able to constructively challenge and bring together resolution to problems by working collaboratively with the wider team
·  Manage proactively process improvements in the reporting to ensure timely and accurate information available for relevant forums and stakeholders.
·  Stakeholder communication: appropriate and efficient communication and engagement across Finance and Risk reporting teams, programme stakeholders and wider internal governance reporting. Support wider IRR planning and prioritisation.
·  Design and drive operationally effective IRR control standards for all in-scope risk types, workstreams and processes.
·  Maintain strong, collaborative working relationships across Finance, Risk and other stakeholder groups. Disseminate information around expected business and reporting impacts, and key Programme decisions and issues.

Requirements

·  Coding knowledge on Excel VBA and Macros, Power query, Power BI, SQL query, Data analysis, Qlik front end, Qlik back end coding.
·  Desirable technical skills are: Machine Learning, Forecasting, Python
·  Strong communication skills to translate technical business requirements to Stakeholders in a simple and understandable manner
·  Be able to constructively challenge and bring together resolution to problems by working collaboratively with the wider team
·  Significant regulatory experience essential, particularly in a reporting context, and across all aspects of regulatory reporting. Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills. Ability to influence and drive strong Finance and cross-functional teamwork.
·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Strong cross-functional knowledge and experience.
·  Exceptional drive, motivation and commitment and focus on operational excellence.
·  Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives.
·  Very strong knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors, etc. Relevant knowledge of the Group’s Finance function in multiple locations.
·  Understanding of the Finance operating model at Group, Business and Country levels.
