We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager Operations.
Principal responsibilities
· Statutory Reporting team prepares and review Financial Statements comprising of Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement, Notes on Accounts and other Annexures to Annual or Interim Reports like Statement of Investments, Statement of Changes in Capital etc. for set of Funds administered by MSS globally.
· Responsible for keeping abreast with new pronouncements by various governing and accounting bodies
· Contribute to meeting the cost targets
· Managing the process to meet or exceed SLA/PLAs.
· Using performance/attribution software, create, quality control and distribute monthly results for all clients to agreed levels, formats and deadlines.
· Update monthly fund benchmarks and keeping abreast of market and index developments.
· Carry out post month end control checks for Life & Insurance clients within agreed service levels and to a high standard of accuracy.
· Provide ledger feeds, valuation extracts and supplementary analysis to enable the client to complete statutory accounts and regulatory disclosures.
· Review all investment accounting reports required by the client to support the general ledger feed.
· Oversee the entire monthly reporting process.
· Supporting the audit / review process.
· Maintain positive engagement within the team.
Requirements
· 7-10 years of relevant trade processing, settlements, SSI Setup and SSI Confirmation
· Ability to handle teams and monitor and meet operational goals
· Should have an eye for detail and a strong analytical mind.
· Complete understanding of Trade Life Cycle
· Excellent knowledge of Capital Markets and Financial instruments.
· Ability to update, manage and analyze MI related activities.
· Efficient Time Management and ability to multi task work and priorities to meet defined deadline.
· Interact with broker and Investment manager for statements/portal access for booking purpose.
· Effective communication skills Proactive in implementing and driving solutions.
· Ability to build excellent rapport and working relationship with other departments and jurisdiction thus ensuring smooth operations.
· Should have demonstrated behavior in line with HSBC values throughout
· Understanding of Trade Processing related Activities
· Strong working knowledge on MS Office.
