We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

·  Work as IT Service Owner (ITSO) for Derivatives, Settlement and Confirmation business, working closely with MSSOT Derivatives Engagement Head and a third-party service provider.
·  Maintain effective control of the end-to-end application and service (including Development, UAT, Production, and Contingency).
·  Ensure external and internal audits for all applications are on track under JIRAs, with timely closure and prioritisation for fixes with the vendor team.
·  Handle ad hoc requests around the in-scope system and services.
·  Adhere to governance processes and ensure compliance with all HSBC IT FIM requirements.
·  Act as a contact point when requests for service information are made by service stakeholders and IT senior management.
·  Collaborate with key stakeholders within HSBC MSS IT and Group such as Production Services Managers, POD Team Members, Risk & Control Officers, Evergreening Leads, Infrastructure Leads, SSP Leads, and CCO Tech colleagues.
·  Delegate requests for information/completion of regular reviews to POD team members, then consolidate information and respond to the requester.
·  Ensure compliance rules are set up for the application, including certificate renewals and deployment by the vendor team.
·  Ensure the data is up to date for the application by the vendor.
·  Perform EIM Application Instance Review and Evergreening.
·  Ensure business IT service resilience by performing roleswap and data recovery activity by the vendor.
·  Ensure data quality and hygiene across various bank-wide set OKRs is maintained.
·  Ensure cybersecurity controls and measures are put in place like scanning and timely patching by the vendor team.
·  Analyse the business continuity model and raise concerns or potential impacts to business and MSSOT Head of Derivatives Engagement.
·  Ensure COMET and SCOTT are up to date by the vendor.
·  Review access on the application and privilege activities.
·  Ensure the vendor team shares monthly audit reports with MSSOT Head of Derivatives Engagement and business stakeholders. Ensure an enriched knowledge base around the ITSO process by the vendor team.
·  Report to/receive direction from MSSOT Head of Derivatives Engagement, MSSOT IT management.
·  Ensure the vendor team performs and assists with internal and external audits, tracking, and responding to audit queries on time.
·  Perform BIA Reviews, IT Service Reviews, and Problem Record maintenance and prioritisation.
·  Monitor ICE Exceptions, Unix/Linux Patching, Cyclic Database Patching, Performance and Stress testing for services, Data Backup Recovery Plans and Tests, DR Tests and Roleswaps Plans and Tests, Vulnerability Planning and Resolution Management, Trusted Source and Data Quality Monitoring, and Data Movement Exceptions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

·  Sound business knowledge of derivatives markets, settlements, accounting, and confirmations, preferably on back-office post-trade processing.
·  Experience working with multiple versions of Calypso, especially version 6/6.8, and handling customisation on it.
·  Proven track record of handling the ITSO role successfully.
·  Experience coordinating teams globally.
·  Experience handling maintenance and evergreening projects.
·  Excellent knowledge of DevOps and Agile principles.
·  Excellent knowledge of Unix, SQL (Sybase), and Windows Server.
·  Good knowledge of various automation tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services.
·  Good knowledge of Unix Shell or Python scripting.
·  Knowledge of middleware technologies, preferably IBM WebSphere MQ and Solace.
·  Experience in all phases of the development life cycle.
·  Good knowledge of Java 8, Sybase, SQL, Calypso, REST API, and web services.
·  Familiarity with DevOps tooling.
·  Proven track record of adopting agile development techniques and transforming project teams to adopt agile methodology.
·  Good communication and interpersonal skills.
