The US Head of Finance Non-Financial Risk (NFR) leads a country team responsible for ensuring effective management of key Non-Financial Risks (NFRs) owned by US Finance,  including Financial Reporting Risk, Regulatory Reporting Risk, Model Risk, Data Risk and People Risk. Key functions within the NFR team include Reporting Risk Oversight and SOX Governance. Strong working relationships with US Assurance Functions, particularly Finance Assurance, and the DBS Chief Control Office will also be required. The role holder will also collaborate and manage relationships with Global Finance, Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Stewards, Internal Audit, External Auditors and US Regulators.

As our US Head of Finance Non-Financial Risk, you will:

·  Lead the Subject Matter Expert (SME) team responsible for managing all risk- and control-related issues within Finance
·  Lead the US Finance Risk and Control Management Meeting (“RCMM”) and provide strategic direction and support to the US Finance Executive Committee as well as Finance Report Owners and Control Owners on the effective management of the Finance risk and controls profile
·  Deliver risk and control inputs to various governance meetings, including the Disclosure Committee, Regulatory Reporting Governance Forum, Non-Financial Risk Forum and relevant Change Program Steering Committees (including the Integrity of Regulatory Reporting Program)
·  Provide subject matter expertise, advice, guidance for execution of Risk and Control Assessments (“RCAs”) and with setting appropriate Control Monitoring Plans (“CMPs”)
·  Ensure the US Non-Financial Risk team challenges and drives discussions with Risk and Control Owners for risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies, including inherent risk, residual risk, control effectiveness ratings, issues, actions and events
·  Oversee the delivery and management of all SOX activities in the region according to the Global and US SOX frameworks, including scoping, execution of process walkthroughs, evaluation of issues, management attestations, coordination with the external auditors and the interim and year-end assessment meetings (“SOX four-way meetings”)
·  Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including with the US Finance Executive Committee (ExCo), Group Finance executives, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Audit Committees, External Auditors and Regulators and present relevant materials at key governance meetings
·  Review of Account Reconciliation Completion Certificate (ARCC), supporting the development of actions for thematic issues and escalations to local management

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $134,500 and $201,800.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

·  Experience in a leadership role within a global financial services organization
·  Strong understanding of key Finance processes, such as Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Treasury and Product Control processes
·  Demonstrated ability to manage a SOX program within a global financial services organisation
·  Understanding of control frameworks and how to implement effective controls to mitigate key risks
·  Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority and geographical location and deliver key messages to all audiences
