We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Employee Benefits (EB) Business Development.

Principal Responsibilities

·  Develop and execute a comprehensive B2B2C distribution strategy for Employee Benefits (EB) that aligns with the broader business objectives
·  Centralize and streamline the management of EB business development, product governance, and client management
·  Lead and mentor a team of dedicated professionals to achieve business goals and deliver exceptional client service
·  Oversee the development and implementation of compelling value propositions for EB products to ensure competitiveness and profitability
·  Monitor and analyse product performance, market trends, and client needs to drive continuous improvement and innovation
·  Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HSBC Pension, HR, and other business units, to capture sales opportunities and identify new business prospects
·  Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and industry standards in all business activities
·  Foster strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams to enhance client satisfaction and retention
·  Represent the EB business in external forums, industry events, and client engagements to promote HSBC’s capabilities and solutions

Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CFP) is a plus
·  Extensive experience in business development, sales, or product management within the insurance or financial services industry, with a focus on Employee Benefits
·  Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies that drive growth and profitability
·  Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving common goals
·  Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
·  In-depth knowledge of the Employee Benefits market, products, and regulatory environment
·  Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
·  High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service
