We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of CONSULTANT SPECIALIST.  

Business: Wholesale Technology  

Principal responsibilities

·  Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective
·  Work within a feature team to engineer software, scripts and tools to enable the delivery of bank's products and services
·  Design, develop and deploy applications capable of meeting the anticipated load, performance, availability, security and resilience requirements
·  Design and develop software with a focus on automation of build, testing and deployment process on all environments to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data
·  Ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards including relevant Service Management Standard
·  Ensure high data quality exists in Service Management systems of record
·  Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
·  Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
·  Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement
·  Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable

Requirements

·  A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline
·  Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the capabilities of different GCP components from functional and non-functional perspective, e.g. Networking, Firewall, Load Balancer, Encryption, Security, Auto-Scaling etc.
·  Working experience of hosting an application on GCP by using GKE / Kubernetes, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Big Query, Cloud Storage, Cloud Monitoring, etc.
·  Strong understanding of GCP DevOps practice and CI/CD tools
·  Strong understanding of container technology such as Docker.
·  Working experience of developing Terraform script for GCP infrastructure provision and configuration.
·  Strong understanding of Service Management and Production Support
·  Good understanding of Microservice architecture design and development considerations and limitations, understanding of Spring Boot / Spring Cloud is an advantage.
·  Fluent English speaking and professional business writing skills
·  Strong problem solving skills and be able to work independently and effectively under pressure
·  Strong communication skills and be able to adapt in global team culture and communication in different locations
·  What additional skills will be good to have?
·  GCP Certificate or certificates of other cloud service providers.
·  Good understanding of Kubernetes is an advantage
