We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist .

Principal responsibilities
The roles will work on SAGE in Traded Risk. SAGE is one of Risk 2025 key initiatives to deliver strategic aggregation platform for Risk managers and utilize new vendor product on cloud & on-prem hybrid environment. This is a strategic platform and requires critical architectural enhancements to be delivered during the remainder of 2023 and beyond. This work is part of the Risk 2025 programme of work which includes a series of PRA commitments.
The team in Guangzhou is responsible for both the development and maintenance of SAGE with big data volume and online analytic capability. HSBC is seeking Full Stack Engineer to join this team to perform the following:
· Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable components,
· Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle,
· Adopt DevOps and Agile principles,
· Ensure test-driven development and close collaboration with global team members in EU, AP and US
Support the Traded Risk Aggregation platform in production and ensure prod issues are resolved in a timely manner to maintain production stability. This will involve close collaboration with the global team.
Requirements
Essential Experience
· Qualification in Information Technology
· Experience in Information Technology, typically focused on software application design, development and support. Experience on Big Data platforms would be a bonus including implementation of Star Schema designs.
· Knowledge and experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle
· Knowledge and experience in Agile and DevOps development practices
· Knowledge of OLAP
· Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies and business domain
· Excellent communication skills
Essential technical skills/certs
· Java, SPARK, NodeJS、React、Typescript, shell
· Python, Jupyter Notebook
· API and micro service technologies
· Databases (PostgreSQL)
· Application monitoring and test automation best practice and tools
· Cloud technologies: (GCP, AWS or Azure)
· Automated deployment tools eg Ansible
What additional skills will be good to have?
Desired experience (as advantage)
· Knowledge of Financial Risk management in banking or financial industry
· Knowledge specific to the Traded Risk domain
· Knowledge of new and emerging technologies such as Cloud, Big Data, AI etc
· Knowledge of HSBC policies, processes and procedures is an advantage
Additional skills/certs (as advantage)
· MDX, XMLA, Flink, Redis, Apache Beam
· Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
· Databases (Clickhouse)
· Scrum master knowledge or certified, or PMP certified
· FRM or CFA certified
