Compliance, Assistant Manager role is responsible for the identification and management of undesired risk activities including regulatory risk and financial crime risk. It will focus on supporting mainly the financial crime compliance team on the oversight of FC risk, ultimately supporting the business strategy of Bank.
The jobholder is accountable for:
· Foster a close relationship with key stakeholders, providing relevant advice related to Financial Crime policy and regulatory requirements (KYC, reputational risk, financial crime risk, etc);
· Oversight of metrics related to Financial Crime risk, such as KYC, Transaction Monitoring Alerts, Screening Alerts, amongst others, ensuring thorough analysis and identification of trends that may require management actions.
· Analysis and decisioning of cases related to Transaction Monitoring Alerts (AML) and screening alerts (AML, Sanctions, Negative News), supporting the Bank´s control framework to prevent financial crime.
· Support on reviewing fraud related cases, in line with policy and regulatory requirements.
· Coordination of Governance requirements, ensuring relevant information related to Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance are reported in relevant forums and systems within the organization.
· Support on the review and identification of local regulatory requirements and/or local markets practices related to Financial Crime, ensuring HSBC is aligned with local regulatory requirements and expectations.
Requirements
· Strong English verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings.

· Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.
· Excellent time management and task prioritization skills
· Proficient in MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point). Knowledge in programming language is a plus (Alteryx, VBA, amongst others).
