The overall objective of Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Production Support Lead - Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Team role is to facilitate the delivery of the entire Onboarding and Customer Due Diligence services proposition across CLM activities: Onboarding, PEDRs, CDD modification, EDD Team.

What you will do:
The role holder is responsible to manage CLM Analysts – EDD responsible for managing and conducting Customer Due Diligence activities for all types of risks levels to meet applicable legal, regulatory requirements as well as HSBC policies and procedures (Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions).
The team ensures that prospect and/or customer Know Your Customer (KYC) / Know Your Transactions (KYT) information are meeting requirements by conducting enhanced due diligence activities such as: screening using internal tools and open media researches, review internal and external documentation. Additionally, the CLM EDD Analyst will coordinate external vendor report request when and if applicable. The role will provide a primary escalation point of contact for the Front Office and CLM Analyst, in addition to day to day prioritization and operational support to the teams aligned by activities. Finally, the role holder will be deputizing the Head of Onboarding and Customer Due Diligence whenever needed.
In this role you will:
· Provide advisory and operational support to front office (RMs/CSEs/BMs) staff for all prospect and/or customers
· Work closely with the Head of the team to measure, manage and improve the service proposition. Ensure a strong focus on continuous improvement is followed to realize efficiencies and enhance the service proposition.
· Continue to seek opportunities to improve cost efficiencies whilst maintaining and improving service levels against agreed PLA's
· Close partnership with the Business in order to shape and agree the service proposition which could include: MI management, agreement on PLA’s, implementation of Volume caps and interaction with client base
· Managing the expectations and demands of a multi-faceted business, and multiple stakeholders within a matrix-managed organization, whilst delivering improved service against a multitude of SLAs across activities.
· Ensuring continual improvement whilst maintaining full regulatory compliance across all businesses.
· Maintain and enhance industry leading service, engaged and working closely with the business community within PBRS.
· The role holder will have to build deep knowledge / understanding of the FO teams and work closely with the business and delivery teams to ensure priorities are aligned with resource availability and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
Requirements
· Knowledge of EUNINT and/or MENA markets specifies from a KYC/KYT perspective
· Experienced in due diligence activities
· Deep working knowledge of AML, regulatory compliance and controls within the Swiss Private Banking or financial services industry
· Minimum of a B.A. degree or relevant work experience
· Proven working experience leading and managing a team
· AML certifications (i.e: ACAMS or Vision Compliance or similar)
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Can-do and problem solving attitude
· At ease under pressure and demonstrating good resilience
· Strong teamwork initiative
· Ability to work professionally with all levels of staff and management
· Skilled IT user with a capacity to adapt to new or complex tools and use efficiently all usual software suit (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Avaloq, Appway, World-Check, Lexis Nexis)
· Fluent in English, French and Arabic, both written and spoken
