What you will do:

·  Participate in HSBC’s market making activity trading mostly German, French and Italian Government Bonds.
·  Manage trading book risk within defined limits and generate appropriate return on risk in context of market opportunity.
·  Maintain high level of client engagement, providing market colour, views and trade recommendations.
·  Assist in the delivery of technical enhancements around pricing and data capture of the business.
·  Ensure all transactions deliver fair outcome for our clients and do not cause disruption to market transparency and/or order, and are in line with HSBC Code of Conduct.

In this role you will:

·  Effectively maintain risk positions whilst adhering to pre-set risk parameters and help the trading team achieve revenue targets.
·  Provide pricing to sales teams and clients that is in line with Bank’s policies.
·  Ensure timely execution and reporting of trading tickets, maintain communication with sales desk and assist in resolving settlement problems, ensure ticket entry completion and provide general trade support as necessary.
·  Provides timely and accurate execution of trades for the Bank’s targeted clients.
·  Ensure all trades are booked into front office primary trading systems in accordance with internal policy and regulatory requirements.

Conditions

You should apply if you have:

·  Experience and demonstrated understanding of financial markets and knowledge of derivative products.
·  A capacity for transparent and comprehensive communication with various stakeholders including team members, sales teams and support functions.
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical skills.
·   Knowledge of pricing and valuation methodologies in rates products.
·  The ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and strong decision making skills.
