We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager Payments Regulatory Reporting Checker .
Role Purpose
To generally oversee all regulatory reporting compliance of Payment Services including, but not limited to, fulfilling daily checker role responsibilities, embed procedural changes brought by new regulations in reporting and/or changes in the regulatory reporting process, ensure quality, accuracy, timeliness and efficiency in reporting and to liaise with regulators on technical and procedural matters concerning the regulatory reporting requirements of Payment Operations.
Principal Accountabilities
Impact on the Business / Function
· Consistent compliance with local regulations and eliminate risks of compliance gaps by the businesses and function for Covered Transaction Report and FX Reporting (IOS).
· Eliminate risk of financial penalties and risk of adverse comments from regulators and regional stakeholders
· Sound and sustainable escalation process to ensure top management awareness on issues and potential incidents
· Clear coordination between business, functions and support groups
· Support implementation of projects related to regulatory reporting requirements of the Payment Operations business service
· Perform other BAU checker responsibilities for other products and services that Payment Operations supports to sustain SLA adherence with the business and customers
Customers / Stakeholders
· Improved internal customer experience thru clear ownership of the process thereby allowing these internal customers to focus more on business-related matters
· Ensure professional engagement with business stakeholders, internal and external auditors, regulators and even customers as and when necessary
Leadership & Teamwork
· Ensure optimal productivity of maker and other staff performing regulatory reporting functions under Payment Services
· Motivate staff under supervision to exert their best performance daily
· Foster a culture of teamwork, diversity and open communication of staff ideas, suggestion and ever concerns
· Continuously recognize good performance and assist staff under supervision to achieve improvement plans where necessary
Operational Effectiveness & Control
· Increased accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reports, ensuring proper escalation to relevant stakeholders upon detection of breach
· Ensure proper quality assurance process and consistent execution of report reconciliation
· Create and sustain intelligent MI relevant to track volume and quality of the reporting

Qualifications :
· Can work and deliver under pressure with minimal supervision required
· Has outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· Above average interpersonal skills; can work, influence and negotiate with business and other stakeholders
· Above average knowledge in using MS applications
· Driven, results-oriented and good analytical thinking
