Assistant Manager (AVP) of Recovery and Resolution Planning

Role purpose  

As an Assistant Manager of Recovery and Resolution Planning, you will report to the Americas Head of Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) in Global Treasury. The team is responsible for Recovery & Resolution Planning within the Americas region including the United States, and Latin America. The role will have a focus on Recovery Planning with opportunities for involvement in Resolution planning. The role will include delivery of US and MX Recovery Planning requirements for local US and MX regulators and meeting requirements for the Bank of England.

You will be responsible for:

·  Assisting in submitting MX/US recovery plans to MX/US regulators as required (timing varies depending on local regulatory requirements) and supporting the Group submission of MX/US recovery plan chapters for the BoE Group Recovery Plan (GRP).
·  Coordinating inputs from stakeholders for recovery planning stress testing exercises, management actions and recovery capacity quantification; reviewing stakeholder inputs and providing review and challenge on the data collected. 
·  Calculating elements for the recovery planning chapter and documenting the basis of preparation for submission.
·  Reviewing, interpreting and applying regulatory guidance related to Recovery and Resolution Planning.
·  Assist as required in Resolution Planning both for local regulators and to the Group RRP Office for submissions to the PRA.
·  Assist in coordinating and supporting senior management in the bank’s response to any potential recovery or resolution event.
·  Identification of risks and implement mitigation approaches at the earliest opportunity.

Requirements

·  A finance, risk or banking business background.
·  Strong analytical skills with financial planning and balance sheet management experience.
·  Understanding of bank balance sheet and P&L line items would be desired.
·  Excel proficiency is required.
·  Exposure to reporting tools like QLIK Sense or any other dashboarding tool would be desired.
·  Exposure or understanding of Stress testing, Concepts of credit or market risk, capital management or liquidity  management, would be advantageous.
·  Understanding of data management in Excel or in any 3rd party tool would be most helpful. 
·  Drive, motivation and commitment with focus on operational excellence.
·  Ability to work in fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple outputs simultaneously.
·  Personable and able to get along with all stakeholders with strong soft skills capabilities in delivering complex messages clearly.
·  Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with proven experience of communicating effectively -in English and Spanish- and confidently at all levels across the Group in a complex global environment.
·  Ability to work under pressure and deal with, or refer on, problems as they arise. Self-motivated and capable of working effectively as part of a team.
·  Treasury Risk Management experience is desired.
