Job description
Lead the marketing and communications function and team for Hilton Sydney, managing the implementation of the marketing and communications plans and strategies.
What will I be doing?
As a Marketing & Communications Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Leadership for both the marketing and communications functions of the hotel as well as awareness across commercial drivers.
· Implementation of commercial strategy as well as stakeholder management.
· Tactical marketing activities across all areas of the hotel.
· Support in strategic marketing activities across all areas.
· Increase profile, share of voice and reputation value for Hilton Sydney among targeted media and content creators.
· Plan and execute press releases, press conferences, press briefings, press tours, and overall press relations
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
· Minimum 3 years' experience of marketing in a performance-driven setting
· Degree level qualification in business, marketing or PR/Communications
· Experience in travel and tourism preferred but not essential
· The ability to liaise and influence all levels of the business
· Commercial, results-oriented attitude and approach
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proactive, motivated and energetic approach to meeting deadlines and targets
· Knowledge of Sydney market
· Flexible
· Creative
· High level of IT skills including Microsoft Office, CMS, Canva, Adobe and major design software
· Excellent organisational and administration skills with attention to detail
· Well-presented and can work well under pressure
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a full understanding of professional ethics, decorum and social skills required for extensive interaction with customers and team members
