Job Requirements
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Commis Chef to support both the Hot Kitchen and Garde Manger (Cold Kitchen) sections specializing in Levantine cuisine. This role is ideal for a junior chef eager to gain hands-on experience in both hot and cold food preparation in a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparation and cooking of Levantine hot kitchen dishes
• Support cold kitchen and garde manger preparations including mezze and salads
• Prepare mise en place as instructed by senior chefs
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment and work areas
• Follow recipes, portion control, and food safety (HACCP) standards
• Assist during service in both hot and cold sections
• Help with stock rotation and minimize food waste
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
Work Experience
· Previous kitchen experience preferred;
· Interest or basic knowledge of Levantine / Arabic cuisine
· Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
· Good teamwork and communication skills
· Culinary training or certification is an advantage
