About the role:
Are you a tenacious, driven and experienced sales executive looking for your next step in your career into a Business Development Manager role or to develop your skills within two branded properties?
If your answer is yes, then this is the role for you!
You'll be an integral part of the proactive team, reporting into the Director of Sales and Marketing working alongside the Commercial Team, Cluster Revenue Manager and the Central Sales and Marketing Support teams.
Your efforts will be focused to drive and retain business growth opportunities. Primarily obtaining new clients and fostering new business relationships to increase total hotel sales revenue. Local and national corporate knowledge alongside relationship building is key along with a desire to have strong commercial acumen and to represent the DoubleTree by Hiton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa and Elmbank York, Tapestry Collection by Hilton!
About you…
· Confident with excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable with travelling and attending a variety of events such as fam trips, networking events and appointments
· Possess excellent communication skills. You'll need to be a good co-operator with a professional, warm, trusting and friendly approach, reacting to change in a positive way
· Comfortable working towards KPI and targets
· Proven sales and marketing track record
· Well informed about the corporate and MICE market and industry
· Ability to build and maintain long lasting relationships with existing and new clients
· Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks
· High attention to detail and accuracy – great at managing one's own time
· Have a creative and innovative approach with the ability to react to various commercial verticals in quick pace
· Great team working skills across hotels, teams, central support and the brand all whilst being comfortable to work alone
· Self-motivating and resilient
· Capable of using multiple avenues and maintaining focus on researching projects
· Experience within the Hospitality sector
· Knowledge of Delphi and Salesforce desirable
Possess a full and valid UK drivers licence
